President’s Message
I hope this note finds everyone well and excited to enjoy this Holiday Season. With Christmas and New Year’s ahead I am sure everyone is looking forward to some much needed family time especially after what our industry has done and continues to do in this trying period of time. We, as an industry, have continued to step forward to provide all the necessities to our fellow citizens to ensure their wellbeing. Our trucks have lead the way to deliver food, medicine and Christmas gifts to everyone.
Our Association has unceasingly provided you, the members, with support through continued webinars and email updates this year. In 2021 we managed to see some light as we were able to return to some in person events. Our golf event was very successful as everyone felt comfortable to gather outdoors for some comradery and activity. We were able to hold a Christmas Dinner and initiated our first “family” type event with a Family Skating Day.
As we approach 2022, we are still trying to work with the ever-changing landscape that is a pandemic. We had hoped to hold a “Canada Convention” that had many wonderful activities for everyone, but these latest measures put everything on hold. But we are not giving in and will have more planned for when times allow as we trust that better times lay ahead. We will keep everyone informed and please also consult our website. Webinars and possible virtual events will continue for now and we hope to provide interesting and current topics that will assist everyone in these times.
